Superior product
Exactly what I wanted. My prior setup was NR, and they were pretty good, "best available" at time of purchase but they're getting old and not what they used to be.
My biggest gripe about night riding has always been about how the helmet and helmet light behave together. The low profile and low weight of the hangover feels much better on my head and wobbles around less than my old setup. Only have one ride on them so far and haven't done the couple chunky and fast descents that are in my winter/night seasonal rides but from first impressions the hangover should at minimum be less annoying. Common across multiple helmets on these descents is for the helmet to want to rotate forward and obstruct my vision when banging down a fast, chunky, ledgy trail. Opted for hangover vs. portal specifically on the basis of lower weight. It's plenty bright for me.
Will update after I run Uwharrie next, but there's no question Outbound knows what they're doing and designed a product to meet the needs of demanding MTB riders.

Great Lights!
After borrowing an Outbound Hangover helmet light from a friend, I knew I wanted to get one. Since they were on Black Friday sale, I got the Hangover and Evo as a set. I’ve only had the chance to do one night MTB ride, but they work extremely well. After riding over an hour, I only dropped one bar on the charge indicator on each light. I was mainly using mid power. My only criticism is I wish the handle bar light had a lit up power button. It would make it quicker and easier to toggle the power levels while on the move.
Pushing your bike as hard as you do in the daytime requires some intense design requirements. A wide field of view, ability to see downrange and recognize objects quickly, and more importantly, an unbroken wall of light to keep your mind sharp and focused.

Rock Solid Mounting
A good light isn’t so good if it’s bouncing up and down on all the time. That’s why we made a bolt-on clamp mount for Evo. It’s solidly locked to the bar and the beam won’t shake around like lights with rubber strap mounts do.
