With the EVO and new Portal lights, I have no reservations starting my mountain bike ride in the dark. The EVO has a wide light pattern and the Portal has a long penetrating light for those curved or elevated sections of the trail. I have the integrated RSL carbon handle bar and with the Bontrager Blendr 529589 and the OBL Action Camera Mount, it’s an integrated looking setup that’s rock solid over bumps.

So good you can get away without a helmet light
This thing is ridiculous in its ability to light up the trail. The width of the light almost eliminates the need for a helmet light but fortunately they make a great one of those too. Well worth the money and when I had trouble with my old one the customer service was beyond expectation.

Most excellent mountain bike lights
Have had 2 rides so far with one in a heavy mist, aka rain. Easy set up, great visibility/contrast and battery is at 2 bars remaining 4 hrs over both rides with the majority of time in medium and high settings. Excellent light with a great value.

Great combo
I’ve used the hangover light for the past couple of years. When my handlebar light quit, I decided to get a trail evo to replace it. It’s pretty awesome how the two lights compliment each other. Very pleased!

Been on the fence for about a year and decided to pull the trigger on the Trail Evo to pair with my Hangover Bike Helmet Light. The combo is amazing. I should have gotten it sooner. I am not disappointed and now I don't have to worry about the coyotes popping out of the gloom.

Night and DAY difference!
I wish I bit the bullet and got the downhill package but better late than never. Having the trail evo is a huge game changer! Night rides have never been less scary and confident!

The Bike Light Evolution:
When we launched the Trail Edition back in 2017 it was a game changer for bike lights.
A beam pattern specifically designed for trail riding with a wide evenly illuminated distribution. However it required an external battery pack, and we had lots of customers wanting to go wireless.

Advanced Optical Engineering
When we developed Evo’s beam pattern, we knew we could go wider and brighter, so we redefined our illumination goals, target candela points, beam angles, and then went to work simulating, testing, prototyping and developing the most seamless pattern we've built to date.
The extreme width is thanks to the finely tuned blended Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics. Hundreds of simulations with Lucidshape software let us squish, squeeze, stretch and shape the light to hit that perfect balance of peak brightness, smooth falloff and insane peripheral coverage.

Rock Solid Mounting

Thermally Engineered
High power bike lights get hot, that is why we use our engineering prowess to keep them cool. Utilizing another industry first, we collect air through a scoop underneath the light, and pass it through the light, cooling all nine LED's that are spread apart to balance the heat load.
