Loving the new light. I have used it for my commute to work for a couple of weeks now. Low setting has been perfect. Can't wait to get out on the dirt and see how bright it is on full power.

Ride, walk the dogs, garage works.

I purchased a MTB light and, as it turns out, since it has a cam mount and the options are many, I am using it for just about everything else.

"These lights might actually be magic" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ll be honest, I bought these lights partly because of the ads making fun of bad reviews. But now that I’ve used them? I’m kicking myself for not getting them sooner.

From the first ride, these lights made everything better. They don’t just light up the trail—they make you feel like you’re in control, even on the sketchiest sections. The beam is wide and even, so you’re not riding into a dark void, and the battery life is way better than I expected. I’ve finished long rides with power to spare (unlike my legs).

The shipping process didn’t go smoothly at first—I had some serious issues—but their team took care of it immediately, no questions asked. They were so helpful and friendly that I felt like a VIP customer. Seriously, these guys are awesome, and the level of care they showed is almost as impressive as their lights.

If you’re on the fence, just go for it. These lights turned my evening rides into adventures. Plus, now I have zero excuses for bailing on night rides.

Hangover's big brother

If you think the Hangover isn't powerful enough, the Portal is for you. It strikes a great middle ground between the Hangover and Trail Evo and is incredible versatile. One light to do everything. You do pay for the privilege in weight. While the Hangover just makes me run my helmet a little tighter, my neck started feeling the Portal about half an hour into my ride. It packs a ton of power into that small package and I'm impressed with the engineering but the Hangover will remain my go to helmet light.

A few notes:
1. LOVE the new charging port, massively more convenient than the one on the Trail Evo or Hangover. (I've lost the cover from the hangover)
2. Although the button is the same size as the hangover, it feels just a little harder to find reaching up blind.
3. I wish the quick release adapter mount came in the box, although I get wanting to incentivize using the more compact option. Just know you have to buy that separately.

Pictures are all Portal left and Hangover right. Two show with the quick release adapter.

Bigger 21700 battery!

In order to hit the same runtime as Trail Evo, and have higher peak brightness than Hangover we shoved a 5,000 mAH genuine Samsung 50E 21700 battery cell and wrapped the light around it.

This results in 43% more capacity over our Hangover light, meaning far longer runtimes (up to 2.5 hours on adaptive, a 50% increase over Hangover).

Even brighter!

While more lumens isn't always the answer, we added in some more brightness and increased the beam pattern width over Hangover to provide even more punch down the trail.

New finely tuned optics with 30% larger TIR cones means higher optical efficiency and more peripheral light to help spot the spooky stuff.

Simple User Interface

Few people read instruction manuals, even fewer want to, so we keep our lights dead simple so that you don’t need an advanced degree to remember some complicated button presses get to the mode you want.

Portal’s soft-touch overmolded top shell has a single, large button right in the middle that’s easy to feel through a thick winter glove in the dark, so you don’t have to hunt blindly around on top of your head just to turn it on.
