So many of you wanted to be able to mount our lights underneath your bike computers that we created this nifty little adapter. All the guts of our Quick Release Handlebar Mount that comes with Detour and Evo, but to work with an Action Camera mount.
This works with our Detour light the best.
This can work upside down or right side up, there is no wrong way, the light will always be positioned correctly.

I LOVE the lights. The action camera mount, not so much. I’m two for two on integrated handlebar bikes where this mount doesn’t work; Trek Madone and Factor Ostro VAM. The issue is that this mount doesn’t provide enough depth from where it connects to the bike. The outbound proprietary mount sits behind the Detour light (as opposed to above it with other lights) and that means the light doesn’t have enough clearance to sit correctly under the computer above it, it essentially points at the ground because the outbound mount can’t clear the integrated systems these two bikes use. BUT I do love the lights, have every light you guys make! Just unable to use on my road bikes.
Ah, so this is when using the Trek Blendr dual-mount, that has two GoPro-compatible mounts where you can put a GPS on top and light on the bottom, correct? That Blendr mount spacing is pretty tight, we tried to make our adapter fit the widest range of mounting applications with one offset, and there are a couple that need a bit more vertical offset due to other things competing for the same space. We'll have such an adapter here in the future with different offset to help with this!

Great visibility and battery last me a good time. I usually ride for 2-3 hours on the trails and I haven’t had any issues.

This review is for the Go-Pro mount accessory that connects to the EVO light. It was nighttime, it was icy (w. studded tires) and sort of slammed into tree. The mount broke off, the EVO fell safely to the ground undamaged. Outbound replaced the mount free of charge, they were great about it. This mount is handy if you want to use your EVO on multiple bikes, or swap out with other devices during the day.
I really like my Detour light, but between its mount and my Garmin's, my handlebars were getting crowded. I was disappointed that this didn't come with the Detour, especially given the price of the light itself. With the popularity of Garmin mounts and systems, I would have thought this would have been included. I'm glad this is an option, since it does give me back some space on my bars.
That's fair! The main reason we don't include it with every Detour, is that attaching to the bars is still the most common out there, and including that mount works on all standard bikes without requiring you to have your own compatible GPS mount to attach the Action Camera Mount adapter to. We could include both, but that essentially guarantees one of them ends up in the garbage for most users while costing us more to make the mount, so we'd have to increase the cost every light more to account for that. Long-term we'll have a better setup for both packaging and checkout on the website to let people choose which mount they want when the order it, but that didn't seem necessary when we weren't getting so many requests for this. It's on our list!
